Do you want legacy or short term success?
Its Black History Month and during this month I always become reflective and grateful.
I have been thinking a lot about the company that I am building, the people I impact and how I want to enhance that impact. For many entrepreneurs, you took a side hustle or a hobby and decided to make it into something more.
So you’re still showing up in your company as a side hustler and you’re getting side hustler results.
For many business owners, you have the business, you have been running well now but there is a threshold that you feel like you’re having a hard time crossing and you can’t identify what it is.
Can I let you in on a secret?
The strength of your clarity and desire for legacy will encourage you to show up in your business differently. And really the word to use is intentionally.
Let’s define Legacy:
Literal Definition: an amount of money or property left to someone in a will.
Figurative Definition: The mark of greatness or impact that you leave in an environment after you are gone
Your business may be looking for you to show up as a leader of legacy. So this month, start assessing what that means for what your building and what you need in order to carry the company that needs you.
Leadership. Culture. Communication.
…are great places to start.
Happy Black History Month!!!
